PetQlix offers tiered subscription plans with enhanced features:

Free Tier:
- Unlimited posts
- Unlimited Stories (expire after 12 hours)
- Unlimited messages
- 1 pet profile
- 30-second video limit
- Basic analytics
- Ad-supported experience (banner and interstitial ads)

Pro Tier:
- All Free features plus:
- Ad-free experience (no banner or interstitial ads)
- Unlimited pet profiles
- 60-second video limit
- Verified badge (blue checkmark)
- Custom themes and premium filters
- Advanced analytics
- Priority customer support

Subscription Terms:
- Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- You may cancel at any time through your account settings or the App Store/Play Store
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You may optionally watch rewarded video ads for bonus features (available on all tiers)

- You choose when to watch rewarded ads
- Not required to use the app

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and PetQlix regarding the App.

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor.

19.3.1 Marketplace Purpose

PetQlix provides a platform for users to connect regarding pet adoption and sales. The marketplace is designed to:
- Help pets find loving homes through adoption
- Enable responsible pet sales between verified users
- Facilitate connections between pet owners and potential adopters/buyers

19.3.2 User Responsibilities

Before Creating a Listing, You Must:
- Have legal ownership or authority to list the pet
- Provide accurate, truthful information about the pet's health, temperament, and history
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding pet sales and adoptions
- Obtain necessary licenses, permits, or health certificates required in your jurisdiction
- Verify the pet is healthy and has received appropriate veterinary care
- Disclose any known health issues, behavioral problems, or special needs

Prohibited Listings:
You may NOT list pets that are:
- Stolen or obtained illegally
- Sick, injured, or suffering from undisclosed medical conditions
- Banned or restricted breeds in your area (without proper permits)
- Wildlife or exotic animals that require special permits
- Too young to be separated from their mother (typically under 8-12 weeks depending on species)
- Involved in illegal breeding operations or puppy/kitten mills

19.3.3 Breeding Disclosures

If listing a pet from a breeding operation, you must disclose:
- Whether you are a licensed breeder
- The pet's lineage and pedigree (if applicable)
- Health screenings performed on parent animals
- Any genetic conditions common to the breed
- Breeding practices and facility conditions
- Registration papers or certifications (if applicable)

Backyard Breeding Notice:
We strongly discourage backyard breeding and encourage adoption from shelters and rescues. If you choose to breed pets, you must:
- Follow all local breeding regulations
- Provide proper veterinary care for parent animals and offspring
- Maintain humane living conditions
- Screen potential buyers/adopters carefully
- Not engage in overbreeding or neglectful practices

19.3.4 PetQlix is NOT Responsible For:

For Sellers/Adopters:
- Meet potential buyers in safe, public locations or conduct home visits
- Request references and verify identity
- Use written adoption/sale agreements
- Require spay/neuter agreements for adoptions (when appropriate)
- Screen for responsible pet ownership
- Never share bank account or sensitive personal information before meeting

For Buyers/Adopters:
- Visit the pet in person before committing
- Request veterinary records and health certificates
- Ask about the pet's history, behavior, and needs
- Get everything in writing (sale agreement, health guarantees, etc.)
- Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true
- Report suspicious listings or scam attempts

19.3.6 Pricing and Payments

- Animal abuse, neglect, or cruelty
- Scam attempts or fraudulent listings
- Illegal breeding operations or puppy mills
- Listings that violate these Terms
- Unsafe or unethical practices

Our Rights:
- We may remove any listing that violates these Terms
- We may suspend or terminate users who violate marketplace policies
- We may report suspected animal abuse or illegal activity to authorities
- We are not obligated to investigate or verify reports but may do so at our discretion

19.3.8 Legal Compliance

You acknowledge that:
- Pet sale and adoption laws vary by location
- Some jurisdictions require licenses, permits, or health certificates
- Certain breeds may be banned or restricted in your area
- Commercial breeders may need business licenses
- You are responsible for researching and complying with all applicable laws
- Violations may result in legal penalties, fines, or criminal charges

IMPORTANT: By creating a listing, you confirm that you comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. See Section 19.4 for region-specific requirements.

19.3.9 Limitation of Liability for Marketplace

IN ADDITION TO OUR GENERAL LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, PETQLIX SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR:
- Pet health issues, injuries, or deaths after adoption/sale
- Misrepresentation of pet information by sellers
- Financial losses from scams or fraudulent transactions
- Breach of sale/adoption agreements between users
- Legal violations by users related to pet sales/adoptions
- Injuries or damages caused by pets after transaction completion

You agree to indemnify PetQlix for any claims arising from your use of the marketplace feature.

19.4 Regional Compliance Requirements

PetQlix operates globally, and users must comply with their local laws. Below are key requirements for major regions. This is not exhaustive legal advice - you must research and follow all applicable laws in your area.

19.4.1 European Union (Including Greece)

Applicable Laws:
- EU Directive 98/58/EC (Animal Welfare)
- Regulation (EU) 576/2013 (Pet Movement)
- National laws (e.g., Greek Law 4039/2012)

Requirements for Pet Sales:
- ✅ Pet must be microchipped before sale
- ✅ Minimum age: 8 weeks (weaned from mother)
- ✅ EU Pet Passport with vaccination records
- ✅ Health certificate from licensed veterinarian
- ✅ Rabies vaccination (mandatory for dogs, cats, ferrets)
- ✅ Commercial breeders must be registered with national authorities
- ✅ Sales contract recommended

Requirements for Adoptions:
- ✅ Microchip transfer to new owner
- ✅ Updated vaccination records
- ✅ Health disclosure
- ✅ Adoption contract (for organizations)
- ✅ Spay/neuter often required or contracted

Prohibited:

- UK: Lucy's Law prohibits third-party puppy/kitten sales (breeder or shelter only)
- France: Certificate of commitment required for first-time pet owners

19.4.2 United States

Requirements Vary by State:
- Some states require pet dealer licenses for sales
- Some states have puppy lemon laws (health guarantees)
- Age minimums vary: 7-8 weeks typically
- Health certificates required in many states
- USDA license required for commercial breeders (4+ breeding females)

Key State Examples:
- California: Retail pet stores can only sell rescue animals; breeders must provide ID
- New York: Pet dealers must be licensed; health certificates required
- Florida: Health certificate within 30 days; refund rights for sick pets
- Texas: No statewide licensing, but local ordinances apply

Federal Laws:
- Animal Welfare Act (AWA): Governs commercial breeders
- USDA APHIS: Regulates interstate pet transport

You Must:
- Check your state and local laws
- Obtain necessary licenses if selling commercially
- Provide health guarantees where required

19.4.3 United Kingdom

- India: State-level regulations; some breed bans

19.4.7 Universal Requirements (All Regions)

Regardless of location, you MUST:
- ✅ Ensure pet is healthy and properly cared for
- ✅ Disclose known health issues or behavioral problems
- ✅ Verify pet is legal to own/sell in your area
- ✅ Provide accurate age and breed information
- ✅ Follow humane treatment standards
- ✅ Be honest about breeding history (if applicable)
- ✅ Screen buyers/adopters appropriately

You MUST NOT:
- ❌ Sell endangered or protected species without permits
- ❌ Operate puppy mills or inhumane breeding facilities
- ❌ Sell animals that are sick, injured, or too young
- ❌ Misrepresent breed, age, or health status
- ❌ Engage in animal cruelty or neglect

19.4.8 Platform Compliance

Before Creating a Listing, You Confirm:
1. You have legal authority to sell/rehome the pet
2. You comply with all laws in your jurisdiction
3. The pet meets minimum age requirements for your area
4. You have all required documentation (microchip, vaccines, health certificates, permits)
5. The pet is healthy or you will disclose all known issues
6. You will screen potential buyers/adopters responsibly

PetQlix May:
- Request proof of compliance (licenses, health certificates, microchip)
- Remove listings that violate local laws
- Report suspected illegal activity to authorities
- Restrict marketplace access in certain jurisdictions

PetQlix Does NOT:
- Verify your legal compliance (your responsibility)
- Provide legal advice about local laws
- Process payments or hold funds
- Guarantee the legality of any transaction
- Assume liability for violations of local laws

19.4.9 User Responsibility Acknowledgment

BY CREATING A PET LISTING, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE:
- I have read and understand the requirements for my region
- I am solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws
- I will obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and documentation
- I will provide accurate and truthful information
- I understand PetQlix is a platform and not responsible for my compliance
- I will indemnify PetQlix for any legal violations on my part

Failure to comply with local laws may result in:
- Listing removal
- Account suspension or termination
- Legal action by authorities
- Fines and criminal penalties
- Civil liability
